The Town of Westport invites all residents and stakeholders to participate in the second public workshop for the Town's Comprehensive Plan Update on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 6:00-7:30PM at the County Agricultural and Youth Center Building (6 Fairground Way).

The workshop represents an important milestone in the planning process and will build on community input gathered earlier this year. Attendees will receive a brief presentation summarizing progress to date, including key themes identified through prior engagement efforts. The draft recommendations that will guide Westport’s future growth, land use, and development priorities will be introduced and attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback and help to prioritize the recommended actions. Community input is essential to ensuring the Comprehensive Plan reflects local priorities and values.

For those unable to attend in person, workshop materials will be available online, and feedback can be provided through an online survey that will be posted on this website. The survey will be open August 12 - September 7, 2026.

The Town of Westport Comprehensive Plan Update is funded in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Adirondack Park Community Smart Growth Program through appropriations from the New York State Environmental Protection Fund (EPF).
